Death in family and friends

It might be in my situation, but it seems that too many members of my family are dying. This year I've been to 3 funerals, my grandma on my father's side died when I was 3, the one on my mother's side died when I was 5. My grandfather on my mother's side also died last year, and my gandad on my father's side died this year. Is it just me or are the older generations dying quickly? I've just been to a funeral yesterday, it was my great Aunt's. She died at the age of 101 and would've turned 102 in January. I will miss her, but I didn't cry at her funeral like I did at my grandad's since I wasn't as close to her. It astounded me at how much she did for my city, She was in the Good Neighbors Program a member of Zeta PHi Beta, she met the mayor twice, i think she won a lifetime acheivement award, she was apart of the Women with a Mission clib. The Retired Teachers Club, Honors Society, and she was on TV during 1935 on Cat TV talking about our town. She did so much and I didn't even know. If you want to talk about it, how do you feel about the deaths in your family?

Well that sucks man.. doing all that and then dying. That sucks.

My thoughts on death.. I hate to admit it, but I'm the bastard who could laugh in a funeral, no matter who died there. I guess it's just my nature, but I've never really been too bothered by death.

Well my uncle died in a motorcycle accident, and my papa had a heartattack or somtin like that in the same year. Month of my birthday my papa died. That sucked

Fathers Side: 3 murdered, 1 OD, and 9 of old age. The most recent was last month when my dads uncle died of old age.
Mothers Side: 1 from Hurricane Katrina, 1 in childbirth, 2 suicides, 1 heart attack, and 2 of old age.

Death is part of life and people grieve on this shit for too long nowadays. People want to believe that their loved ones are immortal when we all know that no one can beat time. I don’t understand why people cry over it especially when they always say they’ve gone on to a better place. I’m always ready to die, if its my time then its my time. My mother, brother and father have cancer, but if they go I’ll hafta adjust. Death isnt that big of deal to me, and it doesnt matter how untimely it was. And bloodwolf, you say you aren’t really bothered by death and yet you hold such strong views on abortion, funny.

Dude that's different... Abortion is a violation of the right to life! A mother is not giving the child choice in life and death. I hate abortion! It's wrong and sick... how can you agree with the murder of children? How can it be justified? What right is there for a woman to selfishly kill her own flesh and blood?

I didnt bring anything up, I just made a statement that there shoulda been no response to. Dont put blame on others for your own faults. This isnt what the subject is about. S-wo, if someone was that old in my family there woulda been bets on when they would bite the dust.
