This might be late here on this forum but I would like to recognize him.
Let us remember the great man that inspired the ignorant and clouded minds of the racist people in America years ago. Thanks to him my people can eat, drink, and go to any of the same places that white people can go and the schools are now equal and integrated because of his words.
iut's a shame that he was assinated because of his beliefs, he did not fight he stood his ground and used his words, unlike The Black Panthers.
Martin Luther King from 1929-1968

He did a lot for this country. Too bad there werent more people like him to step up and be the bigger man. His choice of being nonviolent really shows his good character. Unlike some other people fighting to be equal, he chose not to use hate. He treated everyone the same way.

I dont really see it anymore. I'm sure it goes on in some places, but I think people should be happy in time period where people are equal.

Well one thing that keeps people from being equal is attitude. I mean look at people in the ghetto. They say the police are trying to keep 'em down. I think its more the persons attitude keeping 'em down. The think no mater what they do the majority will prevent them from making a honest living. I'm sure in some places it is the case, but not like it was in the when Martin Luther King Jr was around.

Like I said, I’m sure there are cases like that. The thing is a lot has been exaggerated by some people to make themselves look like the victim. A lot of rappers talk about how cops beat them down over race. It may have happened to some, but a lot of them now say it to give themselves a thug image.

You are right in everything so far but you have to back further than that to see the truth

Well yea, ever since slavery there has been injustice in the US. It started to clean up a lot. When rappers started to come out talking about the injustice some listeners started to believe that message and assume that the majority is out to get the minority. It has made younger people think they should resist the police. Thats where the problem starts. When people stop trusting the police they resist and assume if they are pulled over its because of race. Thats where all the progress Martian Luther King Jr made starts to take a step backwards. People need to learn to trust each other. People that do something wrong and dont realize it shouldnt jump to a conclusion that its all about race.

We have the same rights. Its how we are treated. People being unequal is centerd around the police. People should calm down and think, "Why is the cop coming over here?" Some are too quick and assume its a race issue. As soon as people learn to think for a minute before they react, we can make all people equal. People look at some cases and call it racism. It could all be because of bad communication with the people involved. Many problems can be resolved if people had the patients to talk to each other.
