This is for movies, not TV shows and please dont post one-liners. For Example: “I liked Borat” or “That was a good one.” I have never met a person that didnt enjoy a good laugh every once in a while. So what is your favorite comedy movie and why?
I really enjoyed the “Clerks.” Kevin Smith had a brilliant script and I dont think any other independent film has turned out so well. He sacrificed most of his comic book collection and threw himself into debt to make a full length film on a budget of under $30000. The cost of postproduction is a whole other story.
Its about Dante Hicks and Randal Graves who work at a small convenience store. This movie is known for its elaborate conversations. Such as the one discussing if some of the victims killed on the second Death Star may have been innocent contractors. Another includes the dramatic scene where Dante finds out his girlfriend, Veronica, has gone down on 37 guys including him. This also introduces the characters Jay and Silent Bob that have been recurring characters in other View Askew Productions. I can go on n’ on but there was so much put into one movie for me to explain without going on for a few pages. “Clerks II” came out earlier in the year and you hear mixed reactions between which is better with most people leaning towards the original. IMO “II” is better than the first because the scenes had a much longer lasting laughs and I think that this was a good way to end the series. There are talks of a third but I dont think they should push it.
